This epidemic of post-Pandemic break-ups and divorces loudly signaled that we even more urgently needed to uncover and clean out our funky, polluted deep-rooted beliefs and our twisted understanding about dating, love relationships, and covenant marriage.

I’ve found that the answer is in EXITING OUT OF the flawed Western-American model that has been failing us for a long time.

To use an analogy, in the same way that a virus-infected software corrupts a computer program, and it constantly produces twisted and faulty results until it gets de-bugged, in much the same way, we’ve been operating inside of a relationships model and a dating model that is infected with what I call, the Love Lies “viruses,” and it needs to be de-bugged, and badly.

Here’s WHY a new and different approach to dating is so critically needed:

Our approach to Dating (as we’ve been doing it) is officially expired, played out, and needs to be retired.
The conflicts and the “divide” been Black women and men has gotten worse, not better, and this “old” dating model is contributing to further closing down our hearts towards one another
The “head-butting” and what I call “the relationships civil war” between Black women and men in the relationships space has gotten worse, not better, especially since the Pandemic
The long-standing approach to dating that’s been the norm has produced more failure than success
Though there’s now literally hundreds of thousands of folks on dating sites, the experience with dating sites has left many feeling even more disappointed and resigned.
Dating serves as the “runway” to marriage, and this runway is filled with gaping potholes and huge cracks
In the existing mindset about dating, both women and men have treated dating as a means to an end (marriage). “Dating” ends once you get married instead of it elevating to new levels inside of marriage , as I teach as a part of the Modern Courtship approach.
Our hearts and souls, and the future of Black love relationships is crying out for a different approach to dating that is a win-win and more mutually honoring.
